About Extended and Distance Learning The mission of Texas State's Office of Extended and Distance Learning is to extend and facilitate learners' access to post-secondary educational opportunities. We emphasize meeting the educational needs of all extended and distance learners who, for whatever reason, are not able to attend and participate in on-campus educational programs.
